My Perfect Date

I have Rachel Lyndhurst to thank for the inspiration of this blog post. I think it was something about going on holiday and finding my perfect hot surfer dude whilst away. Interestingly, in the second book I'm writing, Perfect Isn't An Option, my hero Steve is looking for someone a little less perfect.

Anyway, this got me thinking about being wined and dined... One day... one day... And I was thinking of who I'd like to meet, the dream boat who's going to whisk me off my feet and love me forever...ha ha!

And I realised I'm a bit choosy.

Maybe it's the romance writer in me?

I mean, he'd have to have the eyes of Bradley Cooper... In fact he'd have to be as handsome as him, too.

He'd need to look good in a tux, but look just as sexy in a T-shirt and Jeans, and drive a nice car - I want to be chauffeured about! - and handle himself as well as James Bond.

Can dance as good as Brendan Cole...

And sings to me like he's Adam Levine...

With a body as hot as Joe Manganiello's...

And can afford to buy me diamonds. (I'm not really that materialistic, money doesn't buy love, but wouldn't it be nice to have a man buy you diamond earrings?)
(And my mum will like this one) And he's got to have manly hands. Not girly ones. No, hands that look like they've worked hard and have strength.  Hmmmm... I have a thing about hands.

Oh, and ideally, not a smoker.

And there is one other quality he must be superb at....

Ironing! ;-)

Okay, okay, I don't need to spell out the other thing, do I? You can probably guess, considering I write romance.

I don't expect much, do I?

Have I forgotten something? What would you add to this list?

(For the record... A disclaimer - this blog post is meant to be construed as a bit of fun! We all know this guy can only be found in a book.)

Advent Calendar: Day 5

Well, for the record, I want to confirm that I did think up this idea of the advent calendar posts all by myself. It was posting that angel on my Facebook wall for a friend that triggered it. But I've just noticed over on The Pocketeers they're doing a similar thing, calling it Advent Heroes. I swear I hadn't seen their posts before doing mine. Honest!

So now I really do have to make it interesting, don't I? Oh bugger!

In my opinion there is nothing more attractive (or romantic) than a man who can dance. Brendan Cole is really the only reason why I watch Strictly Come Dancing.

And Strictly Come Dancing gets Christmassy, too, so it's relevant. Yes it is!

5th December

I had to post this picture above! OMG! All my Christmasses have come at once! Brendan Cole naked... and what a bum! I'll repeat - WHAT A BUM! There you go, ladies, that's what's moving around the dance floor with grace, beauty and power.

It's My Party ... (4)

And I'll Post What I Want To!

To continue my birthday celebrations, this morning I met a very good friend for coffee and cake at our local Sainsbury's cafe. We both chose the iced Chelsea bun because we have exceedingly good taste.

My truly wonderful friend gave me some lovely gifts (Tana Ramsay cook book, note pads and chocolates).  I have been thoroughly spoilt. I asked for some money so that it could go towards some make-up I wanted to buy, but I still got lots of presents too.

CDs (Complete Kylie collection - not the 80s stuff though ;-)), DVDs (Downtown Abbey series 1, and Sense And Sensibility - which I will save until I've read the book!), a new pen, notebook, perfume, lots and lots of my favourite chocolates, small bottle of Tia Maria, a new waterproof jacket for the 'school run' and a couple of books (Katie Fforde and Matt Dunn). My bestest present was from my dad. He treated me to a digital radio which I've found a home for in my kitchen. I can now listen to the radio while I bake, cook, prepare dinner, lunch and everything, it will be constantly switched on!

So, who's coming to my party today?

Hugh Jackman has called in! I think he had so much fun at the party I organised for Sally Quilford, he just had to turn up for mine!

OMG! And is that Brendan Cole? Have always wanted to be taught to dance by him! Something extremely attractive about a man who can dance, don't you think, ladies?

Oh, and last but not least... sneaking in behind...

Johnny Depp!

Okay, you three, help yourself to bubbly, and come and join in the party!

Yesterday's guest is still here!
